Creditors We Commonly Work With

Money Fit’s nonprofit debt management plans are not loans. When appropriate, we work directly with participating creditors to help reduce interest rates and certain fees.
Support Built for Military and Veterans
Military life can be demanding in ways most people never see. Frequent moves, changing schedules, childcare needs, and housing transitions can all add pressure to a budget. When debt becomes part of that load, the goal isn’t quick fixes. It’s a plan you can actually follow.
Who may qualify
This page is for active-duty service members and veterans seeking nonprofit credit counseling and debt management support. Benefits are based on service status and are verified during intake.
- Active duty: qualifying debt management plan services are provided with fees waived (status verified).
- Veterans: may qualify for 50% off the administrative enrollment fee for eligible services.
If you’re not sure which status category applies, start the intake form or call us. We’ll confirm eligibility before any enrollment decisions.
How the program works
When a nonprofit debt management plan is a fit, eligible unsecured debts may be structured into a single monthly payment. We work with participating creditors to seek reduced interest rates and certain fees when available. This is not a loan, and it does not require taking on new debt.
Services covered
Military and veteran benefits apply to qualifying services such as:
- Nonprofit debt management plans (DMPs)
- Credit counseling and budget review
- Payday loan consolidation counseling
Every service begins with education and a confidential review. If a program is not a good fit, we explain alternatives and next steps without pressure.
Common questions
How do you verify active-duty status?
We use an online verification resource during intake to confirm active-duty status. If verification is needed, we’ll explain exactly what we use and what information is required.
What does “free for active duty” cover?
For qualifying active-duty service members enrolled in eligible services, administrative and program fees are waived. We’ll confirm your exact fees and benefits before you decide.
Is this a loan or a new line of credit?
No. A nonprofit debt management plan is not a loan. If you qualify and choose to enroll, payments are structured into one monthly payment, and we work with participating creditors where available.
